Organic Festival, Santa Barbara
Yes, this was an organic festival and Max loved it! John had to hold him back from charging the pony rides. Perhaps it is one of those "only in Santa Barbara" kind of events (SB or Boulder). But the group that put this on is doing good things, promoting alternatives to pesticides which make us little kiddos sick, they got the city to stop using pestisides in all public parks. Yea for us, and the fishies in the deep blue sea.

Rita, Calm Down!
Yes, my Grandparents and great-grandparents and other relatives are from Galveston, or nearby (and lower-lying) areas... they have evacuated, making their way toward hill country. We are praying that they don't sustain too much damage and that the evacuation isn't too hard. We will keep ya updated here. It appears it will be a category 5 hurricane, which I think is stronger than they have ever seen before... calm down, Rita!

yum, tortillas good! want some?
we ran some errands downtown this morning. baby got a new pair of shoes, but i really loved the toddler bed full of furry pillows, so i climbed up, all by myself, and played with the pillows - the parents should have gotten a picture of this. then we went out for a mexican breakfast. yum! i like to flirt with all the waitresses
what fun it is to eat these tortillas when they are still big! rather than when mom breaks them up into little bites. i think mexican food is my favorite.
