fun with cousin blake

i love the camera!

i was very happy to pose for the camera after drinking my custard yogurt...

but i was very unhappy when dad put the camera away (actual tears and screams - i believe it's called the terrible twos)
this was easily resolved by asking said toddler to pose for another picture...

hence the second drinking of custard yogurt.

Lake Tahoe

we stayed at the marriott in south lake and this is the "village" area. i loved to play around this fountain.

and i love the gondola, which is right above the fountain, and right next to the cold stone creamery, very convenient for yummy fun.

Hiking Lake Tahoe

This actually around Taylor Creek (i think that was it). It was a great walk for me, not too long and lots of bugs and fish to look at.

This was this neat underground interactive "thing" where you could see under the creek and all the fish swimming.

My first camping trip

only one night a few miles from home... but it was great! i got to help biuld the fire... and got progressively dirty from there. i started out my trip by spilling a cup of salsa verde on my lap and down my leg. i got to stay up late and enjoy the campfire with mom and dad, and eat s'mores, and graham crackers.
and i got really tired...

gorrillaz

The gorrillas were the site to se at the zoo this morning because they were fighting and all wound up. you can't really tell in the pictures, but they are HUGE...


half his rumpus is bigger than me!

he came running by and slammed his fist on the window right in front of us - it was scarey and everybody in the viewing room jumped (and wondered how strong that plexiglass stuff really is...)

We had a great time at the zoo today with Lauren and Ellie. Mom's favorite was the lions, but my fav was the gecko - it was fun to say, over and over.

i got a new guitar today,

and i love it! and i got to go swimming with my buddy Bryce.

I had sooo much fun at the beach in Santa Cruz - digging, and standing in the whole, and burying myself and finding my toes.

Summer Solstice

This is the day of the year when all the Santa Barbarians come out to play - and everyone has a license to be crazy (or they always were but it is acceptable for today). I was soo excited to see these giant snails...

these jennies were cool, too bad mom didn't get a shot of the big buddha (jennie) bellies.
for some reason there were a lot of walking beds...

Bryce and Max

I had a playdate with my buddy bryce - this is me chasing and trying to tickle bryce. but he managed to stay one step ahead of me and out of tickle reach.







Then it was time to lean in for a hug...

favorite things,,,

"nails" that would be escargot to you grown ups. i find 'em and screach and do a little excited dance thing and get mom or dad to pick 'em up for me. then they usually throw em in the road. it is my favorite thing to do these days.

But this time we found so many that we put them in a pile and watched them crawl all over each other. mom says yuck... but i take her hand and insisit that she come find snails with me.

summer's here. mom and dad don't go back to work until august - yippee!

Hot Weekend of Play

It's been really hot for SB, almost too hot for this shaded playground. I took a tumble, after getting up too much speed, on this hill and was covered in oak leaves and dust. So I am careful to hold mom AND dad's hands this time.
i like the wabee (that's how i say water) fountain...
it was fun to play in... but today after my nap we're going in the pool!
