max's soccer team, the red rockets!
celebrating their first(and only) goal
The Red Rockets, and Max the devil-player. i seriously have no idea what this pose is about, but he was doing it the whole game.
tomato caterpillar black widow
This caterpillar was eating our tomatoes, so...
we fed it to our pet black widow...
seriously this spider has lived for a couple months in a jar on our porch. i couldn't believe it, but i guess it has some moisture and then the caterpillar.Sunday, August 30, 2009

skylandia park, lake tahoe
clearing brush at the cabin, aka creating "defensible space"Playing on the dock, Lake Tahoe
This was such a pretty park, Skylandia Park. Kinda outa the way, really small - there was a kids day camp going on at the time and we had to walk through all their theatrical broohaha, and fantasy creations on the paths. also totally amazing houses... wow, to live in those shoes...

max was really excited about feeding the sharks, but really seemed to enjoy the touching or petting them more. see those pictures below (we did that yesterday and again today before the feeding). but no petting during feeding...
