we went to the museum of natural history in the morning for my bday. it was great fun. my friend justin met me there and we ran all over the place. here we are hanging out with the butterflies. in the evening we went to Zodo's Bowling a Beyond. I bowled, played arcade games and ate junk food! it is great to be 3!

we spent our sat. night laying the sod. max and dad are taking a dinner break on the almost finished lawn. it is so nice to have this completed, but it is going to be soggy for a few weeks.

our new pool (well the community pool we joined) is so much better and easier to take care of...

running bike max

this is older video of max riding his running bike (or balance bike). it has no pedals and is a good learning bike. very euro. max loves it and has gotten really good at cruising along. we love to watch him:)

anyone know what kind of spider this is? it's body is about an inch and a half, if you include his legs he is about 3 inches.

the zaca fire

this fire has been burning in the back country since 4th of july and is the close to being the second largest in california history. i almost got in a car accident when i saw these plumes of smoke. they really were spectacular.
